Stan has been a member of CrossFit Northern ICE since Aug 2014. In 3 months Stan has put in a lot of hard work and adapted the nutritional support we provide. What made you try CrossFit? I had seen the CrossFit games on TV. I had tried CrossFit at another gym and there was no instruction at all. I saw the poster at Downtown Fitness studio about trying a free class and so I wanted to give it another try in a different gym than the first. To see more of Stan's answers, see our Facebook page.
My biggest CF accomplishment so far is doing a CrossFit WOD Prescribed (Rx)! I came in under time and it only took me 4 months to get there. I like the intensity of the training and it is a comfortable, encouraging atmosphere with friendly and helpful coaches who are really focused on safety and push you to do your best. My next goals are Double-Unders, so I don't have to skip so freaking much, and strict pull-ups. CrossFit Northern ICE is a team environment with everyone helping each other out.
Hayden is one of our original committed athletes, starting his CrossFit journey May 2013. Hayden is very modest when it comes to his achievements, his most memorable moment was in 2012 when he won Team Green Rider of the Year and won a 2013 Kawasaki KX250F. Hayden was recently selected by Kawasaki to test their new 2015 KX series bikes and offer his feedback to the manufacturer. Keep up the hard work Hayden!!!
Mitchell is one of our original 'Off-Season' Summer Athletes and continues with our teen program. He has worked very hard over the past year and has accomplished his goal of playing for the Caribou Cougars. Since the hockey season Mitchell has been invited to tryout for many other teams. You can also find Mitchell representing hockey in the 2015 winter games commercials! Great Job Mitchell!!
